Mittal donates £1 million to tsunami relief efforts

According to the statement released by Mittal Steel Company N.V, the company will donate £1 million to tsunami relief efforts in Asia. The money donated will be made available to a variety of aid organizations and relief efforts to help tsunami-affected people in Asia. The company intends to provide assistance especially to the damaged areas of India and Indonesia, where Mittal has long-term associations. Most of the donation will be used for reconstruction of damaged areas. Ispat Indo, Indonesian subsidiary of Mittal has also donated $100'000 to the local relief efforts.
