Metalloinvest awards UAE contract to SMS Meer

The Russian steelmaker Metalloinvest has announced that it has awarded an equipment supply contract for its Hamriyah Steel project in the UAE to SMS Meer S.p.A., the Italian subsidiary of German plantmaker SMS Meer.

In addition, Metalloinvest and Austrian company Siemens VAI have agreed on cooperation in the construction of the third direct reduced iron (DRI) mill at Metalloinvest's iron ore subsidiary Lebedinsky GOK.
