Meishan Mining produces 2.3428 million mt of iron ore concentrate in 2012

On January 8, Nanjing-based Meishan Mining Company, a subsidiary of Chinese steel giant Baosteel, announced that in 2012 it produced 3.9898 million mt of raw iron ore and 2.3428 million mt of iron ore concentrate, with the latter indicating an increase of 5.53 percent compared with 2.22 million mt of iron ore concentrate produced in 2011.
 
In addition, in 2012 Meishan Mining Company realized sales of 2.3253 million mt of iron ore concentrate, hitting a new record high, with 1.2006 million mt being sold to other companies besides Baosteel, up 8.86 percent year on year.
