On Monday, upper Midwest-based McNeilus Steel Inc., a full line steel distributor and processor, began an expansion to its Fond du Lac, Wisconsin facility. The company is investing $15 million in the 96,000 square foot expansion to the coil processing facility. The expansion is expected to be completed by next August.

Once completed, the Fond du Lac plant will be more self-sufficient with the capability to processing coil products from 16 gauge to 5/8 inch thick while saving the company on freight costs. McNeilus Steel also has locations in Dodge Center, Minnesota and Fargo, North Dakota.
