Many steelmakers in Qian'an in the northern Chinese province of Hebei have recently resumed production under the influence of the positive fiscal and financial policies promulgated by the Chinese government.

As of November 22, twenty of the total of thirty-three furnaces in the region had already resumed production. Meanwhile, sixteen of the total of 25 converters have launched production, and, of the thirteen rolling mills, eight have restarted operations. Local semi-finished product prices have surged to RMB 3,050/mt ex-mill from their lowest level of RMB 2,850/mt ex-mill.
