Malaysia’s iron and steel sales value down 12.6 percent in July

In July this year, Malaysia's manufacturing sales value increased by 3.8 percent compared to July 2012, to RM 54.3 billion ($16.5 billion), while on seasonally adjusted terms the sales value increased by 4.6 percent as compared with the preceding month, according to Malaysia's Department of Statistics.
 
In July, the sales value of Malaysian basic iron and steel products totaled RM 2.2 billion ($671.2 million), decreasing by 12.6 percent year on year.
