Malaysian builders require restriction on steel bar exports

According to recent news in the market, Pengang Master Builders & Building Materials Dealers' Association in Malaysia requested government to bring restriction on steel bar exports due to shortage of steel bar in domestic market. In response to the request, government officials stated that export quota will be brought in order to rectify the situation, adding that with the control on exports, local producers will focus on local market, which will bring vivacity to the market.
