Makeevsk to increase production in 2007
The Ukrainian steelmaker Makeevsk Metallurgical Plant (Makeevsk) has announced that it aims to increase its crude steel production by 8.6 percent, its pig iron production by 55 percent and its finished steel products output by 23 percent year on year in 2007. However, these targets may undergo some changes depending on the market situation, representatives of the mill added. As for now, Makeevsk expects to increase its monthly production of both crude steel and pig iron to 150,000 metric tons, billet to 55,000-60,000 metric tons and long products to 80,000 metric tons.
