Makeevsk completes wire rod mill overhaul

The Ukrainian steel producer Makeevsk Metallurgical Plant has announced the completion of the scheduled repair works at its wire rod producing mill 150.

As a result of the mill's overhaul, its production capacity has increased by more than 22 percent.

In January 2008, Makeevsk completed its program for the scheduled repair of its rolling equipment, investing a total of UAH 150 million ($26.7 million) in its implementation.
