Italian steel wheels producer Lucchini RS has installed a photovoltaic system on the roof of its new rolling mill and scrap yard at the facility located in Lovere. The system has a total surface of 7,000 square meters and will produce 1,218,000 kWh of electricity per year. The energy obtained will be used for all the offices at the plant, and this will allow the company to save 280 metric tons of oil per year and to avoid 700 metric tons of CO2 emission per year.
