In the first ten months of the current year, total logistics costs in China amounted to RMB 9.5 trillion ($1.44 trillion), up 9.7 percent year on year, with this growth rate 0.7 percentage points lower than that recorded in the first nine months this year, as announced by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
In particular, in the given period China’s transportation costs, storage costs and managements costs amounted to RMB 5.0 trillion ($0.76 trillion), RMB 3.2 trillion ($0.48 trillion) and RMB 1.3 trillion ($0.19 trillion), indicating respective year-on-year increases of 11.8 percent, 7.2 percent and 8.1 percent.
