LianYuan Steel ups ex-factory flats prices

On December 14, 2007, Hunan Province-based LianYuan Steel announced strong upward adjustments in its new ex-factory prices for its flat products. The details are as follows:

HR:

The ex-factory prices increased RMB 200/mt ($27/mt). As a result, the new price of 2.75 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,950/mt ($672/mt), while that of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,780/mt ($649/mt).

CR:

The ex-factory prices rose RMB 300/mt ($41/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC CRC is RMB 5,500/mt ($746/mt).

Full Hard:

The ex-factory prices increased RMB 200/mt ($27/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC Full Hard is at RMB 4,930/mt ($669/mt).

HDG:

The ex-factory prices went up by RMB 200/mt ($27/mt). Thus, the new price of 1.0 mm thick ST01 HDG is at RMB 5,440/mt ($738/mt).

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of December 16, 2007.
