Laiwu Steel products to debut in Japan

SteelOrbis Shanghai China's Shandong province based major H-beam producer Laiwu Steel has become the first Chinese iron and steel company to conform with the new Japanese standards. Laiwu Iron and Steel Group obtained the JIS (Japanese standard) certificate on March 28 from Japanese JQA institute for its H-beam and rebar products. The company has also received its first order from a Japanese customer for its products produced according to the new standards. Luxembourg based Arcelor had recently become the second largest shareholder of Laiwu Steel.
