According to Sofia News Agency, Podkrepa union leader Lyudmil Pavlov has stated that the 57 largest creditors of the insolvent Bulgarian steel mill Kremikovtzi are ready to become the mill's shareholders and to capitalize their debts.

According to Mr. Pavlov, a vote on the proposed recovery program for Kremikovtzi will be held at the end of September. In addition, he stated that if the creditors vote for the mill's recovery, the government will not liquidate the company.

At the end of August, the Bulgarian government stated that it could decide to liquidate Kremikovtzi or implement a recovery plan.
