Bulgaria's largest steelmaker Kremikovtzi has restored its production operations to full capacity as of March 15, 2008, a representative of the mill has confirmed to SteelOrbis.

The restoration of full production capacity was subject to a technical matter related to the normalization of raw material and gas supplies.

The negotiations on the matter in question had been ongoing since March 1 between the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and Energy (MEE), representatives of Kremikovtzi and the trade unions, as well as the mill's three partners, i.e. Bulgargaz, National Electricity Co. (NEC) and Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ). Following the agreement reached between the concerned parties on March 15, supplies of raw materials and gas have been restored to standard capacity, leading to the restoration of production capacities at Kremikovtzi.
