One of the major Indonesian steelmakers, PT Krakatau Steel, has announced that it has filed an antidumping (AD) complaint with the Indonesian Anti-Dumping Committee (KADI) against alloyed hot rolled coil and plate imports from China.

This is the first time the Indonesian domestic steel industry has filed an antidumping petition against Chinese imports.

According to the national statistics office, Indonesia’s alloy hot rolled coil and plate imports from China stood at 675,000 mt in 2019, 65 percent of which can be produced domestically.
