Most electric arc furnace steelworks are conducting or planning their regular summer facility repair works during a period from July to August. As the period of their facility repair works in July is ranging from 7 days to 10 days, their facility repair works are unlikely to cause their production cut to a large extent this month.
By company, Hyundai Steel plans to repair its rolling plant of the Incheon Works for 10 days together with 6-7 days at its middle-sized mill and large-sized mill of the Pohang Works. But its Dangjin Works will be repaired for 13 days from July 19 to 31, which will be the longest period of facility repairs works in July among the local steelworks.
