Kazakhstan commissions new metalware plant

A new scrap processing and metalware plant has been commissioned in Kulsary city in Kazakhstan's Atyrau region. The annual capacity of the new plant constructed under the Kazakh government's industrial innovation program is 30,000 mt per year.

According to local media reports, this the first time a plant in the region will produce metalware by using scrap as feed stock. Before the commissioning of the new plant, all the scrap from the region was exported to destinations such as Russia, China and Europe.
