JSW up slab and HRC output

Indian steelmaker JSW Steel Ltd. has announced that its slab production rose 28 percent year on year to 730,274 metric tons in the October-December 2006 period. Hot rolled coil production also increased 20 percent year on year to 642,724 metric tons, during the period in question. However, production of pellets and galvanized products was marginally lower during the quarter, the company said in a statement.
