Indian steel producer Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL) has recently announced that it purchased a steel plant in Indonesia. With this takeover, JSL expects annual capacity of its cold rolled steel mill to increase to 130'000 tons. The takeover is a part of JSL's plans to increase its annual capacity to 400'000 tons by 2006. Moreover, JSL is establishing a 130 MW power plant in Orissa to reduce power costs.
