JISF: Japanese crude steel output to fall three percent in FY 2011-12

On October 25, the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF) announced that Japanese crude steel output is expected to see a three percent year-on-year decrease from 110.79 million mt to 107 million mt in the current Japanese fiscal year 2011-12 (started April 1).

Due to the global economic uncertainty and the effects of Thailand's floods, the JISF has reduced its initial expectations for Japanese crude steel output in FY 2011-12.
