Jinan Province-based Jinan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd announced on August 12 that it successfully carried out trial production of K55 hot rolled coils used for API oil pipes, thereby marking a great step forward in the production of ultra high-strength steel products.
The high grade K55 hot rolled coils in question have the highest tensile strength and lowest ratio of yield strength to tensile strength found in hot rolled steel at present.
