Jiangyin UnionSteel announces prices for April

SteelOrbis Shanghai On March 26, 2007, Jiangsu Province-based Jiangyin UnionSteel steel producer released its April 2007 ex-factory prices for HDG, Al-Zn coated coil and color coated coil. The details are as follows: The new ex-factory price of 0.4 mm - 0.44 mm thick HDG increased RMB 60/mt ($8/mt), while the price of 0.45 mm - 0.49 mm thick HDG increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt). Meanwhile, prices of other HDG specifications decreased RMB 20-260/mt ($3-34/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 0.5 mm thick HDG is RMB 6,840/mt ($885/mt), while that of 1.0 mm thick HDG is RMB 6,420/mt ($831/mt). The new ex-factory price of 0.35 mm - 0.69 mm thick Al-Zn coated coil increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 0.5 mm thick Al-Zn coated coil is RMB 7,600/mt ($983/mt), while that of 1.0 mm thick Al-Zn coated coil is RMB 7,150/mt ($925/mt). The new ex-factory price of color coated coil increased RMB 100-200/mt ($13-26/mt). After adjustment, 0.426 mm thick color coated coil is RMB 8,100/mt ($1,048/mt), while that of 0.476 mm thick color coated coil is RMB 7,800/mt ($1,009/mt). All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective from March 26, 2007.
