Japan’s ordinary steel output down three percent in July

According to the Japan Iron and Steel Federation, in July this year Japan's domestic ordinary steel output totaled 5.951 million mt, indicating a decrease of three percent year on year and down 2.8 percent month on month.
 
In addition, in July Japan's domestic ordinary steel shipments totaled 3.887 million mt, indicating a decrease of 3.7 percent year on year (decreasing for the fifth straight month), while ordinary steel shipments for the foreign markets totaled 2.217 million mt, indicating a decrease of 0.1 percent year on year.
