Japanese officials consider to retaliate the US

Back in August 2001, WTO ruled that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) was required to adjust its calculations for anti-dumping duties on Japanese HRC imports as same were found to be arbitrary. Furthermore back in February 2002, the ITC findings of injury by the Japanese steel product imports were determined to violate the WTO rules. Due to the reasons stated above, Japan is waiting for a declaration from the US officials at least stating their intention of making the necessary corrections and adjustments even if the given deadline of November 23, 2002 cannot be met. Japan looks to settle the matter through dialogue however nothing has been received from the US side so far.
