In April, Japan's seasonally adjusted industrial production rose by 1.3 percent as compared to the previous month, increasing for the second consecutive month. Meanwhile, on year-on-year basis, the country's industrial production in April witnessed an increase of 25.9 percent.
In April, seasonally adjusted iron and steel production in Japan declined by 2.4 percent, while producers' iron and steel shipments regressed by 1.9 percent and iron and steel inventories were up 2.9 percent, all compared to the previous month.
