Cremona, Italy-based steelmaker Arvedi Group has announced that its production activities will continue "in full compliance" with the latest decree by the Italian prime minister Giuseppe Conte. The company, which produces flat rolled carbon steel and both carbon and stainless steel tubes, said that "all safety measures have already been put in place by the group for several weeks" to protect all its workers.
As reported on March 23, all non-essential activities in Italy have been ordered to stop in order to tackle the coronavirus emergency. The decree allows businesses that are in a continuous production cycle to remain open. Other activities must prove to provincial authorities that they need to continue production.
