Italian industry turnover unchanged in November from October

According to ISTAT, Italy's national statistics office, in November last year the turnover of Italian industry was flat month on month but increased by 0.2 percent year on year.

In November, on month-on-month basis, the seasonally-adjusted turnover index in Italy decreased two percent for instrumental goods, while it increased 1.3 percent in the energy sector, 1.2 percent for consumer goods and 0.1 percent for intermediate goods.

With regard to total orders for Italian industry, in November last year there was a month-on-month increase of 0.1 percent and a year-on-year decrease of 0.7 percent.

In the last three months for which figures have been released (September-November 2011), the average Italian industry turnover index value was down 2.9 percent, while the average value of the Italian industry orders index was down 6.6 percent, both compared to the previous three-month period.
