Isdemir’s fourth BF to be installed by MECC

Turkish integrated steel producer Isdemir will reportedly sign an agreement with China's MECC next week for the installation of the fourth blast furnace at its plant located in south part of Turkey. The first and second blast furnaces of Isdemir, Ayfer and Cemile, produces 2'500 tons of liquid steel daily, while Gonul, the third blast furnace, produces 3'500 tons of liquid steel daily. On the other hand, the fourth blast furnace will reportedly be designed to have a daily production capacity of 6'250 tons of liquid steel. The fourth blast furnace is expected to come on stream by 2009.
