The Ukrainian steelmaker Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD) is currently in talks to buy a large stake in the Polish shipyard Stocznia Gdanska S.A, the representatives of both companies have confirmed. The ISD Vice-president Mr. Alexander Pilipenko declined to give any additional information concerning the negotiations between the parties but said that ISD was planning to reach an understanding on the issue with Stocznia Gdanska by the end of the current month. ISD did not reveal the size of the stake it is interested in buying in the Polish shipyard either.
