ISA plans to increase number of its members

According to the recent news in the market Indian Steel Alliance (ISA), which currently possesses five members, plans to increase the number of its members. The current members of ISA are largest flat producers in the country, namely Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), Tata Iron and Steel Corporation (TISCO), Essar Steel, Jindal Iron & Steel and Ispat Industries. ISA officials announced that they want to include long producers in the country to the alliance in the framework of criteria determined by the alliance. One of the criteria determined by the alliance is to have an annual production capacity more than 2 million tons. It is stated that ISA is in negotiations with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) accordingly.
