Iran’s state-owned iron ore miners’ output increases two percent

Iranian state-owned iron ore miners exploited about 24.1 million mt of iron ore and increased the output of this raw material by two percent in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2009), reaching 19.4 million metric tons, according to the Iranian Mining and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

Meanwhile, in the given period, Iran's state-owned miners exported 3.15 million metric tons of iron ore, which represents an increase of 66 percent compared with the corresponding period of the previous Iranian year.
