INI Steel to raise section steel prices

According to market sources, Korean steelmaker INI Steel Co, an affiliate of Hyundai Motor announced that it will increase prices of section steel due to the rising cost of scrap iron. Effective as of Thursday September 16, 2004 the company will increase the price for each ton of H-shaped steel and general section steel by Won 27'000 ($23.58) and Won 30'000 ($26.20), respectively, it is reported.
