India’s SSWL posts record wheel rim exports in April

Steel Strip Wheels (SSWL), Indian steel wheel producer for the auto sector, achieved highest-ever export sales of 102,723 wheel rims during the month of April this year, as against the previous best export sales figure of 60,352 rims in the preceding month of March, recording a growth of 70 percent.

According to a company statement, SSWL also achieved sales of 734,000 wheel rims during the month of April this year, as against 454,000 rims in April 2009, recording a growth of 61.5 percent. In addition, SSWL achieved production of 705,000 wheel rims in April this year, compared to 476,000 rims in the corresponding month of 2009, recording a growth of 48 percent.
