Home sales in Turkey down 19% in Q1 from Q4 2011

In the first quarter of this year, home sales in Turkey decreased by 19.2 percent as compared to the previous quarter and were up 5.5 percent year on year, with 96,092 houses sold, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).

In the fourth quarter of 2011, home sales had surged 16.8 percent as compared to the previous quarter and were up 21.9 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2010.
