SteelOrbis Shanghai China's Hebei Province has again raised the price of electricity for companies named on the first list of enterprises with high-energy consumption. This is the second time recently that the provincial government has made an upward adjustment to the electricity price for the companies in question. The latest adjustment means that the cost of electricity has risen from the present RMB 0.1/kwh to RMB 0.15/kwh, effective as of January 1, 2007. This measure will further increase the production costs of small-scale mills.
