In the January-October period of the current year, Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) supplied 7,000 mt of ultra-low-temperature steel containing 3.5 percent nickel (3.5Ni steel) to 13 downstream users, which is three times as much as the supply volume last year, as announced by HBIS.

From 2008 up to the present, HBIS has supplied a total of 20,000 mt of 3.5Ni steel to downstream users. HBIS is the exclusive producer of this ultra-low-temperature steel in the domestic market.
