Harsco Corporation announced on Monday it signed two multi-year service mill-related contracts in Brazil and China for a combined $100 million.

In Brazil, Harsco’s Metals & Minerals division was hired by “one of the country’s largest” integrated steelmakers to extend Harsco’s existing “on-site scrap handling, slag transport, metal recovery, and melt shop support,” the company said, without providing details about the client.

“Harsco has been providing continuous support to the mill’s flat steel operations for more than three decades, and to its mini-mill since its inception in 2014,” it said.

In China, Harsco will provide the country’s second largest steelmaker, Hebei Iron and Steel Group, on-site slag handling, metal recovery and briquetting, in addition to the services it already provides to the steelmaker.
