Handan Steel ups flats prices for October

On September 27, Handan Steel released its October ex-factory prices for flat rolled products, indicating an upward adjustment of RMB 120-250/mt ($416-433/mt) from September levels. The details are as follows:

1. The prices of hot rolled coils were up by RMB 120/mt ($16/mt). Thus, the new price of Q235 grade 3.0 mm thick hot rolled coil is RMB 4,430/mt ($590/mt), while that of Q235 grade 5.5 mm thick hot rolled coil is RMB 4,300/mt ($573/mt).

2. The prices of cold rolled coils increased by RMB 250/mt ($33/mt).

3. The prices of galvanized coils were raised by RMB 220/mt ($29/mt).

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of September 27, 2007.
