Handan Steel announces price hike
SteelOrbis Shanghai Hebei province based Handan Steel increased its hot rolled sheet ex-factory prices of the latest price adjustment by RMB 600/mt ($75) on March 28, 2006. The mill announced RMB 500/mt ($62) increase in the morning and then increased the prices RMB 100/mt ($12) more in the afternoon. The new ex-factory price of 2.75 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet is RMB 4,090/mt ($509), while that of 5.5 mm products reached RMB 3,900/mt ($486), both prices excluding taxes.
