GSW to increase wire rod prices

According to recent market reports, Spain's Global Steel Wire (GSW), a subsidiary of Celsa group, has decided to increase its wire rod prices by €15/t in January 2004. The price hike is attributed to the increase in scrap prices. The prices of mesh quality and low carbon drawing quality will be increased to around €305/t and €310/t respectively in January. Moreover, the company considers a further increase between February and March.
