Government refinancing Sidor's debt
The Venezuelan steel company Sidor, owned 70% by a multinational consortium and 30% by the state currently has $700million debt with the state's development bank Bandes.
As reported by the government's news agency Venpres, on July 30, 2002, Venezuelan government will sign an agreement to refinance this debt.
