Germany’s passenger car output up 14 percent in March over February

According to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Germany's passenger car output in March this year rose by three percent year on year to 576,700 units, up 13.91 percent over February.
 
During the month in question, new passenger car registrations in Germany increased by 11 percent year on year to 328,100 units, while passenger car exports rose by eight percent year on year reaching 449,100 units.

In the January-March period of 2011, Germany's total passenger car output reached 1.49 million units, up eight percent, passenger car exports amounted to 1.16 million units, up 11 percent, while new registrations increased by 14 percent to 763,600 units, all compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
