Germany’s exports, imports up in January
The Federal Statistical Office of Germany posted provisional January figures showing that Germany's commodity exports increased 9.5% year-on-year to €60.7 billion, while imports increased 10.6% to €47.5 billion. The €12.5 billion foreign trade surplus in January 2004 increased €700 million to €13.2 billion in January 2005. Germany exported €38.6 billion worth products to members of the European Union (EU), and imported €30.6 billion worth in January 2005. €26.6 billion of EU exports were sent to the Euro-zone countries, whereas imports from the zone totaled €21.5 billion.Germany's exports, imports up in January
