Germany produces 43.8 million mt of crude steel in 2010

In December last year, Germany's crude steel output amounted to 3.2 million metric tons, increasing by 4.5 percent year on year and decreasing 16.2 percent as compared to the previous month, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl).

Meanwhile, Germany's crude steel production for the whole of 2010 reached 43.8 million metric tons, rising by 34 percent as compared to previous year, utilizing 84 percent of national production capacity. Germany expects to produce 44.5 million mt of crude steel in 2011.
