Fujian to invest RMB 5.5 billion in mineral exploration by 2020

The mineral resource exploration strategy of China’s Fujian Province for the 2011-20 period has been officially issued by the provincial authorities.
 
Accordingly, it is estimated that by 2020 the total investment in mineral resource exploration in Fujian Province will reach RMB 5.5 billion ($881 million), with significant progress expected to be made in exploration within three years. In addition, the Fujian provincial authorities expect to make a breakthrough in exploration at the Maken iron ore mine at Longyan.
