Liaoning-based Chinese steel producer Fushun Steel (Fugang) has successfully produced high quality DTSH-1 double vacuum mold steel.
Standards for the production of high quality mold steel are strict, especially as regards grain size and impact resistance. Fugang used a vacuum induction furnace and a VAR (vacuum arc remelting) furnace to produce the product in question. During the thermal treatment process, the steelmaker used high-temperature water-quenching treatment so as to improve impact resistance.
The steelmaker states that the product in question has already been delivered to customers and has received a favorable response.
