French metal manufacturing industry turnover up 2.1% in July over June

In July this year, the turnover in France's manufacturing industry rose by 1.5 percent month on month, following a slight decrease in June (2.5 percent), according to France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). However, exports fell by 0.5 percent in July, as compared to June.

In July 2011, the turnover of French metal and metal product manufacturing rose by 2.1 percent, while turnover in motor vehicle production increased by two percent, the machinery and equipment manufacturing saw an increase of 2.2 percent and turnover in the country's construction industry rose by 1.9 percent, all compared to the previous month of this year.
