Freight volumes on China’s waterways up 8.3 percent in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period this year, the overall freight volume transported on China’s waterways (rivers, lakes, seas) amounted to 987.26 million mt, increasing by 8.3 percent year on year, while the freight traffic volume on the country’s waterways totaled 838.94559 billion mt-km, rising by 16.6 percent year on year, according to the latest data issued by China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT).
