France's steel product import value down 4.7 percent in January-July

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-July period this year, France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €5.61 billion, decreasing by 4.7 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €1.14 billion of steel pipes and tubes - up 0.6 percent, €289.03 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 1.4 percent, €440.08 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 2.2 percent, €263.64 million of cold drawn wire - declining by 3.7 percent, and €1.12 billion of metal structures and parts - rising by 1.8 percent, all compared to the same period of 2018.
